In this webinar recording, Leroy F. Moore Jr. talks about his new book (Black Disabled Ancestors), his work, and about Black disability issues. Black Disabled Ancestors tells the stories of black disabled activists that came before us, and Leroy uses that lens to discuss his work with Krip-Hop Nation and about Black disability issues in our world today, ranging from what presidential candidates need to know to the need for Black Disability Studies to representation in cultural works.

About the presenter: From Harvard to The Whitney Museum to Johannesburg South Africa, Leroy Moore has more than twenty years of activism, journalism, writing, and lecturing on race and disability. Leroy is a black disabled activist and author of three books on Black Disabled issues ranging from poetry to children books to graphic novels. Leroy is also the founder of Krip-Hop Nation and is one of the founding members of National Black Disability Coalition. He is a leader when it comes to exploring and working in the intersection of race and disability issues.
