Description

For many youth with disabilities and their families, handling the transition from youth to adults services is an incredibly challenging and stressful time. Many young disabled people “fall through the cracks” and never get connected to the adult services they need to lead self-determined lives filled with purpose, and this is especially true for disabled youth who are also Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC). As such, it’s important to use an intersectional approach to help prepare those who are transitioning into adult services.

In this webinar recording, learn key areas where and how BIPOC disabled youth fall through the gaps, as well as strategies for how to prepare these young people for the transition into adult services.
