This is a train-the-teacher session, where PYD staff demonstrate a training that we have run with our volunteer mentors.
In this recording, PYD staff address how to support self advocacy and independent living when working with youth with disabilities. The session discusses different areas of independent living that many people with disabilities structure their goals around. It also covers what is your role as a mentor versus what is not your job as a mentor.
